Help us preserve your story for veterans, families, and future generations

We are building a Biographies page on the Ripcord Association website — a permanent tribute to every man who served on Firebase Ripcord from March 12 to July 23, 1970. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, and HHC alike.

Your story belongs on this page. Whether you were at Ripcord for one week or the entire operation, we want to honor your service in your own words.

Even if you have already submitted a biography, we are asking all members to complete our new standardized form. This ensures that every biography is presented consistently and with the respect each man deserves.

There are no wrong answers. Write two sentences or ten pages — it is your story and it belongs on this site.

What the Form Covers

Personal Information Full name, rank, company, MOS, hometown when you served, current home state

Service at Firebase Ripcord Dates at Ripcord, Vietnam tour dates, wounds received, awards and decorations

Your Story Your personal narrative — in your own words, as long or short as you like. How you got there, what you remember, the men you served with.

Life After Vietnam A brief summary of your career, family, and where life took you after you came home

Photos Up to 4 photos with captions — email them as attachments, JPG or PNG preferred

Permission to Publish A simple signature authorizing the Association to display your biography on the website

However, to make sure every man on this page is presented consistently and with equal dignity, we are asking everyone to resubmit using this new form. It should only take 15 to 20 minutes and the result will be a page that truly honors all of you.
